The Goal of Pediatric Therapy is to... ensure that each child with special needs receives all of the services that they may benefit from in order to reach their full potential within their home, school, and social environments.

At Indiana Total Therapy, we offer one-on-one therapy sessions with an interdisciplinary team approach between physical, occupational, and speech/language therapies to children of all ages and diagnoses. These specialized services are offered at our Indiana Total Therapy within the Human Motion Institute, which is located on the campus of Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Pediatric Physical Therapy
Pediatric physical therapy focuses on helping children reach their highest level of independence. Children sometimes need help in further developing their motor skills such as crawling, sitting, walking, or balancing. Others may require physical therapy to help increase their mobility or strength lost due to an illness, injury, or surgery.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy for children focuses on children's activities such as playing, learning, and socializing with friends. At ITT, we help children to develop these necessary skills so that their transition into adulthood becomes a pathway to an independent and rewarding life.

Pediatric Speech Therapy
Developing communication skills is one of the most important elements to socializing and creating relationships. It is necessary to provide children faced with speech impairments the strategies and resources that will assist in daily communication and interaction with their parents, siblings, teachers, and friends.

Our speech-language pathologists focus on developing communication skills through programs tailored to the child's specific needs in areas of:

Julianna Rosenbaum, PT, DPT
Julianna’s passion for pediatric physical therapy comes for her experience growing up with her older sister, Jenny. Jenny became Julianna’s inspiration as she was able to beat all of the odds as she demonstrates that over 50% brain damage from birth injuries does not limit her from singing, dancing, and participating in sports with Special Olympics. With her physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language therapy, she surpassed all doctors’ expectations of her cerebral palsy.
Julianna completed her undergraduate and doctorate degrees at Saint Francis University. While at SFU, she was an active member of many organizations and most notability Best Buddies, a mentorship program for individuals with intellectual disabilities. She was a Graduate Teaching assistance for Neuroscience, Neuropathology, and Neuro Patient/Client Management I & II. Julianna also volunteered at Star Equestrian, the previous Therapeutic Horseback Riding Facility. She completed research on alternative therapeutic techniques for Cerebral Palsy and the developmental difference of children with autism spectrum disorders.

In 2012-2013, Julianna was selected as a Resident in the University of Central Arkansas’ Pediatric Residency Program. At the time, UCA’s Pediatric Residency was 1 of 8 National Board Certified Programs. In this program, she practiced at Allied Therapy and Consulting Services and Beyond Boundaries in pediatric outpatient, home health, school-based, early intervention, developmental daycare/preschool, and hippotherapy settings. Julianna also received experience at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in acute care, wound care, burn unit, NICU, PICU, orthopedic rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary unity, oncology unity, spina bifida clinic, spasticity clinic, high risk newborn clinic, autism clinic, and aquatics. She completed research on functional electrical stimulation systems for a child with cerebral palsy. Julianna worked with children of varying diagnoses and ages with a greater focus on Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Undiagnosed Developmental Delay. She also participated in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) by completing interdisciplinary training and rural outreach clinics through the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In 2013 through 2014, Julianna worked for River Pediatric Therapies in Alleghany County within their Monroeville Satellite Clinic, Early Intervention, Wilkinsburg School District, and Alleghany Valley School District locations.
Julianna was then hired in June 2014 at Indiana Total Therapy within the Human Motion Institute as part of their Pediatric Outreach Program. She continues to work as their pediatric physical therapist by implementing individualized care for infants, toddlers, children, and teenagers. Her focus is to bring quality care, treatment, and management to her caseload. She also focuses on creating programs for children to have carryover at home and in the community. She does enjoy managing orthotics, splints, adaptive equipment, and wheelchair needs.

Rebecca Kline, MOT/L
Rebecca graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with concentration in Art in 1992 and then graduated from Chatham University with her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 1997. She demonstrates significant experience and wisdom with pediatric occupational therapy practice as she has 17 years of pediatric outpatient therapy, early intervention, and school based therapy experience. With this knowledge, Becky exhibits a wealth of understanding of pediatric therapy standards and procedures across multiple domains. She has previously worked in early intervention and school based therapy. Becky was hired at Indiana Total Therapy in 2009.

During Becky’s pediatric career, she has integrated a holistic style of treatment with specializations within occupational treatment for her patients. Becky is effective and efficient at implementing individualized treatment for children’s fine motor skills, handwriting skills, sensory deficits, visual motor abilities, and visual perceptual abilities. Rebecca not only excels in her sensory integration Handwriting Without Tears, The Listening Program, and Craniosacral therapy, but uses modulated music programs like therapeutic listening and visual perceptional interventions as an Ocular Motor Trained Provider. Becky introduces and implements diet controls and essential oils with her patients and their families in order to improve overall behaviors. She has also participated in multiple behavior based continuing education course in order ensure the best practice is being implemented for her patients across the spectrum.

Becky’s caseload consists of children with spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, delay in fine motor skill acquisition, concussions, cerebral palsy, CVAs, Down syndrome, and other genetic and neurological disorders. She is able to complete effective therapeutic interventions within her sessions as well as implement appropriate home programming for the most carryover. She coordinates occupational therapy needs by implementing individualized care for toddlers, children, and teenagers.
